Privacy policy (POPIA)
How YouBet Partners collects, uses and protects personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
This website is operated by Corvanta Media Group Ltd, trading as YouBet Partners. YouBet Partners is an affiliate network, not a gambling operator. For any privacy question or request, contact our Information Officer at [email protected].
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Operator contact form: company name, licensed province, products, contact person, email address and message.
- Technical data: when you visit the site, your IP address and browser details are processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Messages sent through these forms are delivered to our mailbox, and a copy is stored in the website database.
If you apply to join the partner programme, we collect the details you give on the partner platform and in our checks: your name and contact details; your ID document or passport and proof of address; for companies, registration documents and the identity of directors and of anyone owning 25% or more; if you choose an e-wallet, your Skrill, Neteller or PayPal account details and proof that the account is in your name or your company's name (if you choose a 1Voucher, OTT Voucher or Blu Voucher, we send the voucher PIN to your registered email address); your tax and VAT numbers; the websites, pages, groups and channels you use; and the marketing material you submit or publish. We use them as set out in the Affiliate terms.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or partnership request.
- To assess and manage partner applications.
- To pay partner commission.
- To verify partners' identity and prevent fraud.
- To meet our obligations to the licensed gambling operators we work with.
- To keep the website secure and working.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We process personal information with your consent, to take steps you ask for before entering into an agreement or to perform an agreement with you, to comply with the law, or for our legitimate interest in running and securing the website and the partner programme (POPIA section 11).
Direct marketing
We send direct marketing by email, SMS, WhatsApp or Telegram only if you have given consent, and every message includes a way to opt out (POPIA section 69). Submitting a contact form is not consent to marketing.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers that help us run the website and reply to you: Google Workspace (email), Google Analytics (website statistics), Cloudflare (website delivery and security) and DigitalOcean (hosting). They process it on our instructions. For partners, we also share it with: the licensed gambling operators whose brands you promote; our partner tracking platform (Scaleo); our bank and, if you choose an e-wallet, that payment provider (Skrill, Neteller or PayPal); our professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires.
Transfers outside South Africa
Our hosting, security and email providers, our partner tracking platform and e-wallet payment providers may store or process data outside South Africa. We use providers that are bound by data-protection terms giving protection comparable to POPIA (POPIA section 72).
Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits; it does not use advertising cookies. Our security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site. See our Cookie policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law, and then delete it.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS, and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact our Information Officer at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za/complaints — general enquiries: [email protected].
